Islandport is committed to uncovering, amplifying, and investing in stories that the world needs by providing the spaces, platforms, and revenue strategy for them to be told. These stories and the communities that form around them nourish our innate need for connection with our fellow community members, families, friends, and the world around us.
How to work with us: If you have a germ of an idea or a completed manuscript, a popular Substack, column idea, podcast, or anything else and want to share it with the world AND create a viable business around it, we want to hear from you. While we specialize in a few primary verticals (Maine, business, relationships, philosophy), we welcome work in all genres and about all topics.
Our selection process is rigorous and extensive. You need not have a platform to apply. But you do need an idea or a story or a message that is unique and that the world needs. And you need to be hungry to grow that work into a holistic brand.
Submission guidelines:
Please include a brief pitch of your project, a bio, and a statement on why we are a good fit for you. Attach a 10-page sample of your work.
